PRE-FORMED CRANIAL MESHES

Summary of problem: Developed hand forming mesh procedure and implemented a separate hydraulic forming process for preformed cranial meshes.

Skills used/developed:

  • Designed and assembled fixturing for hydraulic forming press

  • Developed and wrote work instruction for mesh forming process

Outcome:

  • Successfully upgraded manufacturing line from hand pressed preformed cranial meshed to hydraulically pressed meshes.

  • Streamlined a separate forming process for more complex mesh designs
