ROTATOR CUFF REPAIR DEVICE
Summary of problem: Researched and assessed methods for identifying and quantifying vibration, then prototyped and sourced dampening methods within the constraints of the existing device.

Sourcing and communicating with potential suppliers, including visiting facilities, hosting sales representatives and placing orders

Product development - brainstorming and ideation, sketching and modeling, prototyping and feasibility testing, defining pass fail criterion
Outcome:

Created and iterated prototypes of multiple potential solutions, including hard and soft anchors, two material prototypes, and a prototype inserter and drill guide

Developed testing methods to assess the efficacy of each possible solution against baseline products, building on existing testing methods for similar products

Reported findings to both upper management and client, provided a recommendation on the feasibility of the project
